More Website Traffic - 3 Powerful Ways to Get More

Website owners are always concerned with getting more website traffic. We’ll show you three powerful ways to get more.

1) Social bookmarking

Web 2.0 is revolutionizing the Internet. Web surfers are defining what relevant content is. You could take advantage of the many social bookmarking services such as Digg, Reddit and StumbleUpon. By creating accounts at social bookmarking sites and constantly bookmarking all of the old and new content on your website, you’re substantially increasing your site visibility. Other members of the social bookmarking sites can also view your bookmarks and endorse them.

2) Blog comments and forum posts

This is another powerful way of getting more links and traffic back your website. By constantly posting blog comments and forum posts on relevant websites, you are establishing yourself as an expert in your field. Tons of people will get to know you and your products and services. This is done by actively participating in blogging and forum communities. Always be sure to include a link back to your website on your posts. The more posts you submit to high page rank blogs and forums, the higher Google is going to rank you for your keywords. It’s always good to use your keyword phrases as anchor text in your link.

3) Article writing

Article writing is a powerful tool. In fact, I’m using it right now. The more high quality articles that you write, the more they’ll become syndicated and spread throughout the web. It’s key that you always include a link in your author resource box back your website to bring you traffic. Write as many articles as you can about the type of business that you’re in and submit them to article directories throughout the web.

Creating an SEO Friendly Website

One of the reasons that you’re creating a website to promote your business or other personal interest is to get the word out to an international audience. To do that properly there are more than a few things you’ll need to consider and one of these things is design.

A Website Design in Los Angeles is done by professionals that can help you sort through all the things that you’ll need to make decisions on. These are the professionals that can help with the actual physical design of the tabs and content, but you’ll need to make sure that you really work with experts when you enter the area of search engine optimization or SEO.

Professional Writers

From the content standpoint, working with a Web Design Company in Los Angeles means that you’ll have access to at least one and perhaps a team of professional writers. They will be able to write clear concise web copy that will increase your keyword ranking with the use of strategically placed keywords and phrases. These words and phrases have been researched to provide you with optimum exposure when they are found by the search bots that the search engines use.

Select The Right Company

However, it’s important to make the right selection in the company that you employ to do this. Not every Web Design Firm in Los Angeles has professional writers on staff that can write to your specifications. While you might be able to find other writers that can muddle into the job for you, it’s the professional scribe that can blend these keywords and phrases so that they flow seamlessly with the rest of the web copy that you’re placing on the site.

Social Bookmarking

Remember too that there are other factors that come under the umbrella when you’re talking about having an SEO optimized site. The recent advent of social bookmarking has added another element for those who want to fully optimize their sites. There are so many of these sites that are available for you to link to, more and more of the successful companies are finding it both necessary and beneficial to hire a service provider who can act as a marketer and distribute links to these sites on your behalf.

SEO - Learning How To Write Like Claude Hopkins

If you want to write persuasive copy for your website (and there is no better form of natural SEO) then you might want to study the work of Claude Hopkins. Hopkins was famous for his careful considerate copy that outlined every aspect of a product’s virtues. Rather than just creating an ad of about two or three lines he would create a small essay. In this Internet world where both people and search engine spiders prefer to read well-written articles you can certainly learn from following his examples.

Claude Hopkins writings have recently come into the public domain and there are all kinds of self styled Internet gurus on Clickbank and elsewhere selling compilations of his best work. Gurus that are selling his stuff include Yanik Silver, Roy Williams, Brian Tracy, Denny Hatch, Michael Masterson, Jay Abraham, David Ogilvy, Dan Kennedy, Gary Halbert, Ted Nicholas, Joe Sugarman, Jeff Paul, Joe Vitale, Micheal Senoff and Bill Bonner. Almost all of these gurus use the works of this prominent copywriter as the skeleton for a teaching course in basic advertising copywriting and then go on to explain how the techniques that he pioneered in advertising agencies applies to today’s virtual market. Michael Senoff has put together a collection of his rarer advertising examples that are excellent for newcomers to writing to study.

In these ad compilations you can find some of Claude Hopkins most famous ads including his ones for Schlitz Beer, Palmolive Soap, Quaker Oats, Pepsodent Toothpaste, Lord and Thomas, Van Camps Pork and Beans and Liquozone.

The main reason you want to read him is because he was the master of the short sentence which in a way is what writing for Google Ads, in and out of context titles, banner titles, site descriptions and photo captions that attract the search engines is all about.

Get Good Deal in Selling Your Sarasota Real Estate Property

If you are planning to move in a new place, you should also need to plan how to sell your Sarasota real estate property so you can have budget for your relocation. Aside from the hassle of moving your things and other stuff, selling your home is tougher and hard, because you need to have a lot of guts to convince a buyer to purchase your home.

Take for an example if you live in a deserted area it would be difficult to find a buyer or even a prospect to buy your home. Remember the longer your home in the market the higher the possible to decrease and lower down the value of your property. So if you want to sell your home in a faster way, you should take some advice from the experts.

Real estate agents are experts in this kind of job. They are the one that every one looks for in terms of selling a property. But you need to hire an agent that has a lot of experience to do this kind of job. At least 5 to 10 years of experience is much better. Schedule an interview in hiring a real estate agent, don’t hesitate to ask question and see if he/she is knowledgeable in selling a property.

Legal documents and other more stuff with regard to legality of selling your home, is a very critical one and a real estate agent is really a big help on this area. Of course you don’t want to make a mess with those paper works that is one of the reasons why you need to hire a real estate agent.

Preparation like doing a make over to your home and make it look brand new. Repaint the walls and fix broken ceilings or any other part that need repairs. You must take away all personal attachment on your home so that buyers can imagine it as their home when they visit your home.

A good marketing strategy will help a lot in selling your home quickly. Giving away flyers with your home details and contact number will help a lot in spreading that you are selling your home. After giving away flyers, seat beside you r phone and entertain some inquiries with regard in selling you property.

Another good way in advertising your home is putting a big house and lot for sale in front of your house. This will let the passers by that you are selling your home, but make sure that you already repainted your home to make it more attractive to suspected buyer.

To Convert Browsers to Buyers - Don’t Give Your Visitors a Cozy Home

When you work professionally with your clients, you want to create a comfortable experience. You want clients to feel they’ve settled into a cozy armchair in your virtual living room.

But before they become clients or buyers, you can’t let them sink into that chair. Your website focuses on one question: Are you the right person to solve their biggest challenge? Here are the most common ways to let your visitors get too comfortable before they’ve decided to buy.

(1) Turning your website into your cozy home on the Internet. Your *real* home has pictures on the wall and possibly objects, souvenirs and knickknacks that display your personality to guests. But your website doesn’t express your personality the way your home does.

Your website expresses the needs and desires of your prospective clients. So you can remove pictures of sunsets and quotes from your favorite poets. These components direct attention to you - not your visitors.

(2) Rolling out the welcome mat. Just about every home has a welcome mat. But website visitors know they’re welcome. They want to know, “Am I in the right place to solve my problem?” The top of your site should feature a strong headline that helps visitors decide they’re in the right place.

(3) Trying to create a “memorable” site. At home you can enjoy a memorable visit with friends and relatives. But website visitors have short memories. Most visitors surf around from site to site. They rarely remember what they typed into the search engine, five minutes after they started.

Instead of “memorable,” think, “irresistible.” Design a giveaway that motivates visitors to say “yes” to your opt-in subscriber link. Then you are no longer dependent on your visitors’ fragile and fading memories.

(4) By-passing the benefits. Your friends come to visit because they enjoy your company. But your visitors have no idea why they should stick around. Typically they are seeking relief from pain or a fast solution to an urgent problem. They click away from sites that focus on process and steps.

(5) Believing “brag” is a 4-letter word.

Your friends will feel you’re rude if you brag about how good you are. But your website visitors want to know, “If I hire you, what benefits will I get? How will I be better off?”

You aren’t claiming, “I’m great. I’m amazing.” Instead, you follow the writing adage to “Show, don’t tell.” Visitors want to make a good investment if they buy from you. So they want to believe, “We’re lucky to get you.” Make it *really* easy for them to say that.

Google PageRank - Mystical Figure Or Vital to Your Success Online?

What is Google PageRank and why is it so important to your site?

Google PageRank is designed to determine the relative importance of all pages on the internet. It is like a voting system where a link from one page to another represents a vote for that page in the eyes of Google. A page with alot of other pages that link to it gets a lot more votes as far as Google is concerned and so has a higher PageRank. If links come from pages with a high PageRank this also represents more votes as far as Google is concerned. The whole process of determining PageRank is a complicated affair, but there are some simple things that you can do in terms of site design to help with your Google PageRank.

PageRank is all about linking, so in terms of site design it is important to look at what incoming links you will have to your site. Remember that an incoming link is a vote for your page and so will help with your Google PageRank. Links from pages that already have a high PageRank in Google will greatly assist your PageRank value. There are a number of ways that you can get incoming links to your sites including writing articles and posting them to an article directory with a link back to your site, posting in blogs with a link back to your site, links to other sites you may have, sharing links with your suppliers, and you can buy links.

In Site links are also an effective way to increase your Google PageRank. When I design a site I try and maximise the number of links between all pages on the site. These links also represent votes. Given that if you have a new site and all of your pages have low PageRank value then these votes may be small in the eyes of Google, but as your traffic starts to increase these votes will assume greater importance. I believe that this element of site design is largely overlooked by individuals and small businesses, so talk to your site designer about maximising the number of internal links within your site.

External links are something that you need to think very carefully about. Lets say on the Home Page of your site you have some incoming links from articles you have written about your business or products, and some links from your suppliers. This gives your page a number of votes that are then distributed across the internal site links from your Home Page and any external links that you may have. Too many external links means you are giving away too many votes to these other pages that you are linking to. My advice is to be careful with external links and to not get carried away with all sorts of widgets, counters, and other things on your Home Page. These all contain links to the people that created them and helps them to get a higher PageRank value. What they do to your PageRank value is water it down. So be discerning in how you make external links to your site, otherwise your PageRank value will suffer.

So, to maximise your PageRank value you need to get high quality incoming links to your site. Or alternately a number of lesser quality links will also help. Maximise the internal linking within your site, and be careful with external links so that you are not giving away too much of the value of these incoming and internal links to other sites.

The web can be a complicated place and many individuals and small businesses struggle to get an online presence. Search Engine Optimisation Services Specialist Discusses Website SEO - Part 7

Everything you write and place onto the internet creates a link. You are adding information to a website by writing content. That content in that submission company’s service creates a link which contains the information pointing to your website. The spiders see this as direct content, as the content is discussing and promoting your website. This is critical to effective and successful search engine optimisation. Hand submit that link to the Google search engine.

Hand submit every link you create to the Google search engine. Then place each of those links on a link building website on the internet. This builds a huge number of back links pointing to all the websites that you are promoting. What you want to do SEO wise is write keyword specific titles, meta tags and content to build links which you hand submit to the Google search engine and then place all those links onto your link building website.

You do not have to build flashy and ‘eye appealing’ or cosmetic websites. Websites are about producing and showing good information for your readers. They come to your website, to obtain information. Not to join your business because you have a flashy website. This is another important search engine optimisation technique to never forget. Anyhow, the Google search engine spiders do not spider the images. They look for original content and links and not for “flash”.

Creating good clean crisp original content is one of the critical keys to SEO effectiveness and success. The other critical factors are linking and creating back links. Join any one of the many link building systems on the internet for free to store your links as you create them. Hand submit the url of this link building website to Google every day as well.

Search Engines - Getting Indexed

Before you can even consider getting high rankings in Google, Yahoo and MSN, you have to get indexed by the search engines. Here’s how you do it for free.

Submitting?

Getting indexed is relatively easy, far more so than it used to be in the past. It is so easy that I am surprised I still get spam with submission offers.

Each of the big three search engines has a page where you can submit your site. The only one worth using is on MSN. Google and Yahoo take for every to get around to manual submissions, and there are far easier ways of getting into them. To find the MSN submission page, just search for “submit MSN.”

Google

Google has really gone to great lengths to help you get indexed. If you are updating your site frequently, you should use the Google Sitemaps tool. The tool is free and gives Google a direct path for visiting your site on a regular basis. If you don’t update that frequently, there is an even easier method for getting indexed.

For Google, the simplest method is to go to blogger.com and start a blog for your site. This blog platform is free. Just start writing about anything you wish. Within your ramblings, create links to pages on your sites. Since Google owns blogger.com, it will check the site every few days and follow the links to your site. Once on your site, Google is pretty good about indexing as many pages as possible.

Yahoo

The company tries to make money by charging you to be listed in the Yahoo directory, a companion section to its search engine. Depending on the type of site, this can run a couple hundred dollars a year with no guarantee of even being ranked! Many sites bypass this process by trading links with sites already in the Yahoo directory. Yahoo then follows said links to your site and indexes it. The beauty of this approach, of course, is no money comes out of your pocket.

Showing no shame, Yahoo has recently moved to turn its search engine into one giant pay-per-click engine. This new program is called “SiteMatch” and has met with a ton of controversy. Essentially, Yahoo wants you to pay to submit each url of your site, with prices ranging from $49 for the first one to $29 and $15 for subsequent sub-domains depending on the number of listings. As if that weren’t bad enough, Yahoo also is demanding that you pay for each hit these pages get from organic listings! The cost per click is either 30 or 15 cents depending on the type of site. In my humble opinion, this is a disgraceful move by Yahoo, and I refuse to be held up. You can make your own choice.

An alternative way to get listed in Yahoo is to turn your blog into a news feed. You’ll need a free email account with Yahoo. Take the blog you created for Google and go to a free feed converter site like Feed Burner. Convert your blog into a news feed using the free service. This may sound complex, but it is exceedingly simple once you are on the site.

When the site kicks out your feed domain, add it to the My Yahoo page associated with your free Yahoo email account. Just go to the My Yahoo page and click the “add content” button in the top left. Enter your feed domain where indicated on the page that appears.

Next, go to a site like PingOMatic and ping the various blog listing sites out there. My Yahoo is one such site. Eventually, Yahoo will read the My Yahoo listings and follow the links in the blog to your site. This doesn’t work as well as it used to, but it beats paying the SiteMatch fees.

MSN

MSN is very good about hunting down sites. If it hasn’t found yours, just go to the submit site page mentioned in the “Submitting?” paragraph at the beginning of this article. Enter a url and MSN will crawl it within a week or two.

Getting indexed in Google and MSN is fairly easy if you follow these steps. As to Yahoo, you’ll have to evaluate whether you want to be part of the shenanigans.

3 Simple Google Techniques to Jump Start Your Webpage

Google isn’t the internet’s leading search engine for nothing. Google developed the best search engine technology in the market BEFORE it opened it’s doors to the internet public. Now google has over 1 billion web pages indexed of which it searches in less than half a second.

Since google started, it has continued to grow and expand and become all the more powerful and useful to those of us who know how to properly use it. Today I would like to point out 3 simple, often overlooked techniques you can use to ensure that google indexes your site properly and much higher in it’s search rankings.

1. Submit your site to google ASAP: The most obvious technique that you must apply is to submit your website to the google database. Even if you have not yet published your website, it is a good idea to do this, as it takes google approximately 6 weeks before it includes your website in it’s index. So the sooner you submit it, the better. Head to this link to submit your website url immediately.

Now to a couple of often overlooked and unknown methods you can use to improve your sites ranking with google, and ultimately drive in more traffic.

2. Create a Google Sitemaps for your website: This is a relatively new option that google has implemented to allow them to better index ALL important pages of your site, and to not index the ones you don’t want. Uploading a sitemap to your website will also enable you to inform google of whenever you make updates to any pages on your website. This way google knows when to crawl your webpage. Overall, this is a pretty simple tool google has implemented, and very easy to use. For google’s information on how to build a sitemap for your website, go here.

Google goes over how to create your own sitemap at this link, but it is quite tedious. Because of this, there are a few good Google Sitemap generators out there that will churn one out for you in no time. The one that I have found to be the easiest to use is from CoffeeCup Software. Their piece of software is simply called Google Sitemapper. Just do a search for it on google.

However if you are looking for a free Google Sitemapper, just do a search on google for “Google Sitemapper” and you are sure to find some. Some of them are better, just do a little searching around and you can find a pretty good one for free.

3. Stay away from linking to Banned Sites: Anyone who knows anything about SEO, knows that one of the keys is to have a lot of quality incoming links to your website. In return you usually must place a link of theirs on your website. The problem that can often be encountered with this is you may be linking to other websites that are banned by google’s search engine for any number of reasons. This could ultimately hurt your search engine rankings by more than you know.

Luckily there is a nifty little free tool that will allow you to check all the links on your website to find out if they are banned by google or not. More than likely none of them will be banned, but if you do find some links that are banned, you could save yourself a lot of trouble. To check out a review of Google Ban Checker tool, just go to the reviews section of my website. Http://www.majormarketingtools.com

I hope that you can put these easy methods to use on your website and increase the ranking of your website with Google. There is much more that can be done to increase your ranking with Google which I will be getting into great detail with in my Newsletter. step to get high page rank

Does CTR Affect Your SERP?

There has been a lot of discussion around the internet about whether CTR affect SERP (Search Engine Result Page) or not. It does makes sense what Google is trying to do. If many people clicks your website a lot in SERP, there must be something.

Google wants to return the best for their SERP. If in the top ten, rank 5 get much more clicks than rank 4, they might switch the rank. Besides from CTR, Google can also decides the SERP by other statistics like bounce rates and average time on site. Low bounce rates and high average time in will probably increase SERP rank. Google can access this information from Google Analytics.

It will be nice if Google can implement that algorithm. We as readers can find useful website more easily. But although this is very useful, there are a lot of flaws in it. People could outsmart Google. You could easily edit your titles and descriptions of your web pages, so people will click it more at SERP.

Same with bounce rates, it is hard to determine how much does a low bounce rates is. Previously on my post about analyzing Bounce Rate, I talk about bounce rate which is affected by the website type. Portal usually have much lower bounce rates like 10-30%, because people will look for information there. While a simple sales page with ‘buy now’ in the bottom of the site usually has higher bounce rate like 70-90%.

Bounce rate can be considered good or bad depending on the visitor’s activity. There are two possibility when a visitor did not click any internal link. First he reads the content, and has found something that he needs. Second he did not like the content and leave without clicking any internal page.

Conclusion: In my opinion it is nice if Google can find out the algorithm for SERP rank based on CTR and bounce rate. But my guess it is almost impossible. What do you think?
